Lesosibirsk - our small homeland.





Lesosibirsk is a town in Krasnoyarsk Krai,Russia, located on the Yenisei River. Population:61,139.

History

The village of Makalov Lug, later known as Maklakovo  existed on the territory of modern Lesosibirsk since 1640. In the early 20th century, Norwegian industrialist Jonas Lead established a wood processing plant here. The plant was nationalized after the revolution. After World War II, large wood-processing plants were built here. The Achinsk–Maklakovo railway connected the area with the Siberian Railway. Two new settlements,Novomaklakovo and Novoyeniseysk were built in the area. On February 21, 1975, the settlements of Maklakovo and Novomaklakovo were merged into the new town of Lesosibirsk.

Sights 


Holy Cross Cathedral - the main ornament Lesosibirsk, the largest Orthodox cathedral not only in the region but also in Siberia.  In 1995, the Trinity was laid the first stone in the construction of the cathedral. Built  by architect Alexander Vladimirovich Bannikova the means Lesosibirsk LDK. Built of red brick, 13 domes, symbolizing Christ and his 12 apostles, clearly visible from afar Yenisei. Construction of the cathedral lasted seven years. In the process of building have been restored and used methods of brickwork, applied medieval Russian masters.




Andrew's Church - Orthodox church in honor of St. Andrew, built in the northern part of the city, in the village. Novoyeniseysk. The construction was completed in 2011. In January 2012, the church was consecrated.









The city has a Muslim community. Muslim mosque built, which was completed December 14, 1997. In addition to the traditional mosque Islam rites taught Arabic. Traditional inhabitants has become an annual celebration of "Sabantuy" held with the active support of the Tatar community "Duslar"

Our history. Yeniseysk.

Yeniseysk - is a town in Krasnoyarsk KraiRussia, located on the Yenisei River. Population:18,766 (2010 Census).

Yeniseysk was founded in 1619 as a 
stockaded town—the first town on the Yenisei River. It played an important role in Russian colonization of East Siberia in the 17th–18th centuries.
Yeniseysk jail (first Tunguska) was built in the summer of 1619 a detachment of Tobolsk Cossacks led by boyar son Peter Albychevym and strelets centurion Cherkasov Rukina. Since 1623 the governors were appointed directly from Moscow.
In 1676 received the status 
Yeniseysk regional city, it came under the jurisdiction of all the settlements and forts along the Yenisei River, as well as the entire east of the Yenisei Siberia, to the city Nerchinsk inclusive.
By the beginning of the XIX century in Yeniseisk was built nine stone churches.Yeniseisk has traditionally been a place of exile.
In the 30-50 years of XX century Eniseisk were exiled tens repressed. Among them: Professor BB Grave; Professor SM Dubrovsky; The former prima ballerina of the Vienna Opera Clara Spivakovskaya; writer, journalist RA Shtilmark philosopher Shpet, screenwriter Nikolay Erdman, Boleslaw Sloskans, Olga G. Shatunovskaya et al.
